BENSON/GSP
lately, we've been seeing that a really good wrestling base is dominating really good bjj.
both benson and gsp went right at nate and carlos with not a worry in the world about their bjj.
and if benson had good bjj he could have even subbed nate maybe.
although nate gives his back up so easily because he's not worried at all about getting subbed.
one reversal that comes to mind recently was anderson over chael.
he pulled out that hail-mary triangle.
but these top fighters are really out-working with their wrestling.
they do say though, that wrestling is the best base to have.
it's hard to argue that.
unless you have insane striking ala silva and jds.

This is absolutely correct. Ontop of that, GSP and Bendo very strong. Their opponents are just too worried for the take down so they don't perform nearly as well (as far as striking goes).
Those leg/ankle kicks last night really messed Nate up.
