Here I go....
This is very hard for me to do this, even if I am just typing. As many of you know, I really stuck my neck out there rooting for him. I put a lot at stake by doing this and I as unaware of the reality that was going to happen that night. I really do apologize for everything I have said bad about the Brazilian. He is a true fighter and really earned my respect. I'm not going to sit here and come up with excuses like many people will try to do. The guy lost plain and simple and the Brazilian won that night. Who knows what will happen if they fight again, I hope they do, I still think they could've put on a better performance and definitely a better finish to a fight... but that's how it goes sometimes and you just have to live it.
Anyways, I am making this thread to owe up to my actions and official award the real winner. I should've never bet against the guy.
Demian Maia.................. you won. I shouldn't have picked Stun Gun to beat you, I should've known better. I am sorry everyone for picking the wrong guy to root for, I know I have pissed a lot of people off by doing this. I am sorry. Demian Maia is the better fighter.

Good job owning up, but the fight ended up not ending all that spectacular because Sonnen wilted after the first solid strike. It's all on Chael...
As for the Maia fight...that was some BS. I wasn't rooting for either fighter...but that was obviously a freak accident. We didn't really get to see who was the better fighter, and I'm disappointed in that. I was really interested to see this Judo vs. BJJ match-up...but that had to go and happen.

Lol that entire card was the most anti-climactic thing I've ever witnessed! Honestly, if Anderson was going to really "shut Sonnen up", then atleast do it dominantly! I wanted a vicious KO if Anderson was going to win, not a "Oh he just fell down, I'm going to knee him in the chest and tee-off on him". Seriously..... and for the Kim/Maia fight, i honestly think injuries shouldn't be counted as a win. Especially if its in the 1st round.

So you're suggesting him to stop hitting Chael just because Chael won't get up? It's kind of hard to hurt somebody really bad when they don't stick around for long. He wasn't really defending himself and never looked to improve his position. He just curled up in a ball, and I think that's dominating enough. I wanted to see Chael get KTFOed, but Chael made sure that didn't happen by wimping out.
As for the Kim fight...yeah...idk about that, maybe call it a NC, but then we would have to make sure that fighters proved their injuries later through X-Rays or official NSAC doctor decisions. That way people can't fake injuries to get NCs rather than losses.

It's been officially ruled as a rib injury and that's what I thought when I saw it too. So, take that for what it's worth.

Okay, that's what I originally thought. When Maia mentioned Kim's neck in the interview, they showed the replay right after and looked like that could have been it. It was an awkward fall for sure.

Good job owning up Wandy, honestly Chael looked impressive in the first round but Silva is fucking good at neutralizing attacks from the top. I know alot of people were psyched up after all that "I'm gonna break his bones" talk but get real... the ref is going to stop the fight before anything like that happens.
